A Busy Crazy Nonstop On The Go Weekend In London

Hello .... I am sooooooo behind with updating our blog.... I still haven't finished blogging about our Canada/New York State Road trip from July and our trip to Crete... I will catch up.... I seem to have my head constantly in a Yoga book these days....

Last weekend we went to London.... Was a busy crazy nonstop on the go weekend... But we had a great time.... Had lovely Tapas with our lovely friend Karin and a couple of her friends before she moved back to Switzerland, went to the new Victoria's Secret store on New Bond Street.... It's such a beautiful shop....there is even perfume in the loos.

But soooooo expensive compared to the stores in the USA. We also went to Jo Malone (Lala's favourite perfume.... Yes she has expensive taste!! ) and the Moomin store which was totally adorable....

We ate loads.... :) Mexican, Thai, Spanish, American, Italian, Vietnamese ..... And we also went to the Roundhouse in Camden to see Steve Miller Band in concert,

went to Notting Hill, Portobello Market

and took a trip to Kew Gardens ( by Sunday we were craving some open space ..... We are both country bumpkins at heart ).

The most exciting thing we did was go to the The Ice Bar London by Ice Hotel. It was fabulous. Apart from the fact we knew it would be cold, we didn't really know what to expect. We booked tickets in advance and chose the upgraded package which meant as well as your entry, you could have either champagne or a premium cocktail.  We were given a thermal hooded cape and thermal mittens as the temperature in the bar is -5 Deg C. The time slot in the bar is 40 minutes. We really enjoyed the experience.... here are a few photos....

the walls, the tables, seats, bar and even the glasses are made of ice
there was also a small igloo in the bar

Lots of Love
