New York New York

Now for the final part of our road trip....
We packed up the car and said our Goodbyes to Barbara Wapperer and headed for NYC ...

We drove a couple of hours and decided to stop off for some Brunch. We came across a Cracker Barrel and after seeing it on Wegan's Blog , we stopped off there.... But the veggie options were disappointing :(

When we arrived in NYC we had to find the HERTZ office to drop off our rental car... The SatNav was going crazy...constantly saying "recalculating" but we found it in the end. They weren't very apologetic over the trouble we went through with the cops due to the expired inspection certificate !! Doubt we will rent cars through HERTZ again.

We caught a cab to the hotel. We stayed at The Waldorf Astoria .

Lala loved it.... But I preferred The SoHo Grand where we stayed the last two times we visited NYC. The rooms in The Waldorf are much much larger than those at The SoHo Grand though. I prefer the vibe down SoHo and so many fabulous restaurants in walking distance.  Lala preferred The Waldorf as it's more opulent as she thinks The Soho Grand is pretentious.  We were surprised though that the rooms didn't have free WiFi.

We were only in NYC for 2 nights....

So we decided to something we hadn't before.

We saw an advert for The Terra Cotta Warriors exhibition.  Lala has always wanted to go to China to see them and so she was really excited about the exhibition. Here are some of the many photos I took.

We couldn't go to NYC without eating at our favourite pizza restaurant. This is the 3rd time we have eaten there and we really recommend it. If you like pizza..... This is the best ever!!!! They are HUGE tho... So get one to share

We saw this on our way there

then later on we passed a Yoga Studio with these signs outside

and of course had to take photos at Lululemon

and this made us smile as Lala's nickname at school was Larry

Luckily we didn't get lost like we did that time in The Adirondacks

it was so so hot whilst we were in NYC - stiffling so..... but we stopped for plenty of drinks hahahaha

The whole holiday was fabulous... definitely a road trip worth doing..... We are doing our next road trip at the end of March flying into Las Vegas and exploring Arizona.
