Day one went well....got very tired around 6pm
Got up at 5.30am...scraped my tongue....yep this is important as it gets rid of any bacteria built up during the night and it also sends messages to the internal organs and stimulates the gastric fires and digestive enzymes. You can buy stainless steel tongue scrapers. I do struggle scraping my tongue as it does make gag somewhat... But I still persevere :)
The next step is to drink warm water with lemon or lime. I chose lemon today :) it clears out the digestive tract, helps bowel movement, flushes the kidneys and also rehydrates the muscles before getting on the Yoga mat.
I was on my mat by 5.45am.... 60minutes of Detox Kundalini with Maya Fiennes. She is awesome :) I did read somewhere that she is the Yoga equivalent to Nigella Lawson :)

Felt great after the 60 minute practice .... had a bath and then did Jala Neti - this is going to be part of my cleansing regime. For those of you who haven't heard of Jala Neti before - i found this useful clip on YouTube
The Kundalini practice definitely got the Prana going....so much so.... I wasn't hungry til about midday and that is when I had my first juice - JM's Super Juice - the ingredients include
- Lime
- Apples
- Pineapple
- Cucumber
- Avocado
- Wheatgrass tho I used barleygrass
- Spirulina
- Acidophilus
- Ice cubes
It was Yummie... And filling too. It is packed with enzymes, antioxidants and amino acids.
I had my second juice around 2.30pm which was Juice Master's Super Chute Juice - the ingredients included
- Apples
- Carrot
- Celery
- Mixed green leaves
- Cucumber
- Broccoli
- Alfalfa (had to miss these out as the don't sell the, at Morrisons and I didn't get chance to go elsewhere)
- Courgette
- Beetroot
- Lemon
- Ginger
- Ice cubes
This one was delish too. Jason Vale describes it in bs book as "it's like drinking liquid sunshine!" .....and it truly is.
At 5.30pm made the Turbo Express - the ingredients included
- Pineapple
- Celery
- Cucumber
- Spinach leaves
- Lime
- Apples
- Avocado
- Ice cubes
Jason Vale calls this "An amazing meal in a glass" and it is a great juice to boost the immune system.
by 6pm, I started to flag a bit, started to feel drained and really really tired... and felt somewhat in a daze
Before bed I made the Juice Master's Lemon/Ginger Zinger - the ingredients included
- Carrots
- Apples
- Lemon
- Ginger
- Ice cubes
This was my favourite juice of the day. According to Jason Vale it's a favourite of Martina Navratilova :) It's packed with Vitamin C.... it is AMAZING.
Went to sleep by 10pm. I usually listen to a podcast in bed but I was too tired to concentrate on it....ended up switching it off and the next thing I knew it was time to get up..... stay tuned for day 2 :)

Gosh, this sounds intense, but the juices sound great, especially the lemon/ginger zinger one.

DeleteThe juices do sound delicious. If I weren't at work all day (where bathroom breaks are rare) I might try a juice cleanse. It sounds like it's going good for you so far!:)
