Yesterday was a crazy busy day.... but more on that in another post....
I can hardly believe that I have completed my 5 day juice cleanse.... It has gone so fast...also I can't believe that I have managed to stick to it. If I weren't going up to my mums's and grandma's this weekend, I would have done 2 more days... However, I am going to have to be carful with what I choose to eat, especially for my first meal. After a cleanse/detox, it's essential to have a light meal for your first few meals so that it doesn't shock your body and digestive system and helps your body get used to solid food again.
So my plan is to have soup today until we go out to eat. We are going for a Thai meal and so I shall no doubt have a tofu red curry....my favourite :)
So ... What have I noticed from doing the cleanse? My stomach is definitely flatter....the bloating has reduced... I don't feel sluggish and have more energy. My unhealthy craving have subsided.
One thing is though....I stopped doing the Jala Neti after day 2 as it irritated my nose and made is "snuffly" ..... Decided it was best to leave that out of the cleanse as it wasn't suiting me at all. In any case, once my nose became snuffly, I couldn't continue with it as that is a big "No No". Only use a Neti pot when your nose is clear. If you have the snuffles, steam with eucalyptus oil.
Juicing is something I am definitely going to include in my diet. The juices taste so so healthy and they feel like energy in a glass. My favourite is definitely the Ginger/Lemon Zinger....
